The CHILDS Trust Medical Research Foundation (CTMRF)

The CHILDS Trust Medical Research Foundation (CTMRF) is the research affiliate of Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital (KKCTH). CTMRF functions independently with a Chairman and group of trustees. Director (Research) of CTMRF is responsible for day to day management of the foundation activities.

CTMRF combines basic and advanced biomedical research to address health and disease issues in paediatric patients.  Its traditional research areas have been the major paediatric infectious diseases of dengue, flu, scrub typhus and typhoid.

CTMRF conducts extensive research in the field of pediatrics and allied disciplines, including basic clinical research. The foundation is registered with the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research(DSIR), New Delhi. The joint ethics committee of CTMRF and KKCTH comprises of members drawn from various fields is approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), New Delhi. Through its various research activities, the foundation has more than 25 publications in indexed journals from 2017 to date.
